Founded in 2019, SHG-NEPAL began as a small self-help group in Nepal with one simple goal — to create a safe and understanding space for young people to talk about their mental health without fear or judgment.
We’re not here to fix people — we’re here to walk beside them as they rediscover their strength, voice, and sense of hope.

I. At SHG-Nepal, our mission is to create a safe and supportive space where young people in Nepal can come together to talk openly about mental health, healing, and self-growth.
11. We believe that everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported — no matter where they are in their journey. Through guided discussions, mindfulness practices, creative art sessions, and psychoeducation, we help individuals reconnect with themselves and with others who truly understand.
111. Our goal is to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health and build a compassionate community that values empathy, selfexpression, and hope. Here, we grow together — one honest conversation at a time.

Our experimental group sessions are based on the fusion between psychology and creative arts. We incorporate elements from therapy as CBT, DBT, ACT, creative arts in therapy and many more.
Our sessions is rooted in cultivating stronger sense of belongingness in collective suffering helping members feel less alone in their suffering and elevate symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress
Twice a month 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Kathmandu-based
